The Nationals are Australia’s second oldest political party. They have been celebrating 90 unbroken years of representation in the federal Parliament since 22 January 2010t. On that day in 1920, 11 members of parliament who had been elected in December 1919 supporting the objectives of the Australian Farmers’ Federal Organisation, unanimously agreed to form an independent political party. The Nationals is the party for regional Australia.
